If it Ain’t Broke, don’t Fix it?

Milwaukee

Not necessarily. The village of Kenosha, Wisconsin is ready to take charge of the looming sewage problem that their City faces. “The sewer system is old. It was built in 1952, we need to start lining private sewer laterals. All the communities are doing it.” Stoner, a former superintendent of Public Works, states. The idea is also to get it right while funding is available through the utilities department. This will inevitably lessen the burden for the taxpayers. Kudos to the City of Milwaukee for offering to fund much of the expense. It’s interesting to note that the water used in your home is transported by way of the lateral pipeline into the City’s larger pipes. It’s important to keep these laterals working in good condition to prevent backup and health hazards.
