CIPP Repair: City of Watertown Searching for Approval

sewer

The city of Watertown, a suburb about 45 miles outside of Milwaukee, needs to repair their aging water and sewer lines and are wanting to use cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology to rehabilitate the infrastructures.  The Watertown city council will be holding a vote on a resolution that will solve the current problems and extend the life of many of the city’s lines.

CIPP is a method for restoring older pipelines with minimal digging in streets and on adjacent property. A piece of durable lining is installed inside the old pipe. It is a safe and environmentally sound solution to replace and repair aging pipes. Because the project will not require any digging or excavation, it will be considerably less expensive than traditional pipe replacement which often sees costs totaling millions of dollars.
